How I increased my blog visitors by 337% in 13 days!

About a week and a half ago I found a old WordPress blog that I have not touched in 4 years! Back in 2013, I started this blog here,  Internet Success Tips. Back then I wondered how to increase visitors to my blog and with this blog I posted 22 times in the span of about a month, from April to May of 2013. I ended up leaving it because I went to put more energy into other kinds of marketing like email marketing and solo ads.

Finally,  Jan 6th, 2017 (13 days ago) I decided to get back into blogging, after I used the tips I described in this blog, and added 5 more posts equaling 27 total, I pushed my blog visitors and viewers up over 300% in the past 13 days!

To prove this worked here is my visitor history! I provided snapshot of the last 3 and a half weeks. I show how I have jumped over 300% in just 13 days, and how I have increased visitors to my blog. I will show you my current average and my all time average, here we go!

My Daily Visitors Average:

To find how many days I have had the blog posts up I did this math problem:

52×3.75=195

I have had the blog , so to find the average of weekly visitors I will divide the total visitors… 11,710 by it.

11,710/195= 60

I was getting a average of 8.5 viewers a day throughout that whole 3.75 years…

Weekly Visitors Average: 60 (for last 3.75 years)

Not bad considering I wasn’t too much of a blogger, I had no idea this was happening at the time, like I said I haven’t touched this blog since April 2013!

I now have 27 blog posts (I added 5 in the past 11 days) I also jumped my blog 400% in these 11 days!

This is working beautifully! I didn’t realize the power of a blog until I saw it right in front of my eyes…

It only tool me 11 days to get a 316% increase, I’m very excited to see what happens in the next few years.

Lets talk about generating visitors to your blog via SEO…

Search Engine Optimization

This is the most important one of them all! This will put your blog on auto-piolet!

1. Install SEO Plugin

2. Make Your Blogs SEO Friendly.

Step #1: Choose One Keyword or Phrase

  • Choose just one keyword or keyword phrase for the post. Don’t pile up your keywords, by using Google Keyword tool, it will help in generating good ideas on what keywords are the most popular search items with the most potential views and visitors.

Head over to the Google Keyword Popularity Tool and invest some time in keyword research to better understand which keywords drive the most traffic. The trick with keywords is to never assume you know which ones are best; ALWAYS do research to ensure you are using popular keywords that best suit your product, service and/or blog topic.

If you use localized keywords for your SEO efforts – such as “az life coach” or “life coach in phoenix” instead of just “life coach,” you are much more likely to rank well – with the added benefit of landing more targeted readers. This is especially important if you are a local business.

I recommend creating a free account on AdWords (or log-in to your account, if you already have one), then search for the keywords you think are most likely to be searched. Adding your city and state will give you local search results to review, plus some great ideas for blog posts that fit what people are looking for. Using the keywords you entered, Google will bring up a list of other relevant keywords that were actually searched for in the previous month. I prefer to export them to Excel, get rid of unnecessary columns, rank them from most to least popular, then save the document for easy reference later.

Step #2: Write a Post (min 500 words)  

  • Write a post with a min of 500 words. (minimum to make search engines react)

Step #3: Use Your Keyword Throughout Your Post

  • Use your keyword a minimum of 5 times throughout your post!
  • Be sensitive with pluralities. Example: “blunt” and “blunts” are two different keywords.
  • Put your keyword in the title of the post, which will automatically place it in the permalink, or the page’s URL.
