Building a List is The TRUE Way to Make Money Online

If you have ever struggled in making money online, there is light at the end of the tunnel. Being a new affiliate/network marketer you can have a hard time gaining momentum for your business to start going somewhere. People can go months and months with no sign of a first sale. If you are not building a list it is going to take a very long time until you make your first sale unless you have a massive following in social media.

• Add Opt-in pages/sign in forms

As Derek stated in his video I posted above, you should clean up your official site, and add opt-in pages. The whole point in adding the sign up/opt-in pages is to grab their email address!

I like Derek, I like how adamant he is about starting your email list, because email marketing and building a list really is the most essential marketing technique as well and the most effective marketing technique and everyone who is marketing online or trying to make money online needs to be taking step one and building their list.

One thing that I noticed in the video is that he explains two marketing strategies that are actually more like preparation. Nothing wrong with that but cleaning up your website and adding opt-in pages are more like preparing to market your website.

I do agree with Derek about social media promotion being worse then email marketing promotion, BUT how are you going to get someone’s email, just like it’s magic?
